French for young people

With secondary-school and university students we use French from the very first lesson – we speak French as much as we can and learn through conversation, practical situations and topics young people find interesting. Learning is lively, relaxed and fun, because we learn most easily what genuinely draws us in.

Three reasons this works

01

Material young people actually meet

Matura tasks, conversation, French films and music. The lesson keeps moving, because a young person learns what draws them in.

02

We practise exactly what is on the exam

If we are preparing for the matura or for DELF and DALF, we work on the task types that actually come up — not similar ones.

03

A group or your own pace

Group courses run online, in a group of three at most. Anyone who needs their own pace works one to one — French tutoring is available too.

CEFR levels from A1 to C2

What you will be able to say

The levels are international, defined by the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Below are the sentences you will actually be able to say at each level — not textbook descriptions.

A1

»Salut, moi c’est Nik. Je suis en deuxième année.«

You introduce yourself and say the basics about you.

A2

»Le week-end dernier, je suis allé au concert avec mes amis.«

You talk about the past and about your plans.

B1

»À mon avis, l’école devrait commencer plus tard.«

You give an opinion and defend it. Matura level.

B2

»J’ai passé mon bac de français sans stress.«

You cope on your own on an exchange and at university.

Your approaches seem very effective to me. Even though I do not know you in person and we learn French over Skype, in our conversations I feel very relaxed and you often make me laugh as well. Ever since I was little I wanted to learn to speak French and you have made that wish even stronger. I know I am still missing a lot of knowledge, but because of you I feel much more confident when I speak French. Since I started learning with you, learning French is fun, not the least bit hard work, and I gain an enormous amount of knowledge, not only about French but also about other important things in life. I think you have mastered not only French but also relationships with people, and I know you put an enormous amount of effort and time into your work, which shows. In spite of that, if you are on holiday, injured or ill, you give 100 % for your students. Thank you for that.

What people ask me most

A year ahead is best. If there is less time, we work intensively one to one and focus on the parts of the exam where the difference is greatest.

Yes. Tutoring means one-to-one lessons arranged as you go — no enrolment and no fixed timetable.

The matura is the Slovenian school exam; DELF is an international diploma that is valid for life and recognised abroad. The preparation overlaps in part.
