Her courses are professionally of a high standard, and the teacher always manages to establish a genuine relationship between teacher and students; she has an exceptional capacity for empathy and for motivating students (using all sorts of “tricks”, humour …), a unique approach and the ability to convey grammar and grammatical structures without being dry. She is one hundred per cent prepared for her lessons (structured and flexible delivery of the syllabus). She has a detailed knowledge of each individual's abilities and expectations. In this way she adapts the lessons to the participants on the course. She is very willing to adapt the programmes to the students and to accommodate any individual request without this affecting the group. She conveys the material in a very engaging and witty way. In her lessons she uses audio and video aids to the greatest possible extent, which contributed most to the students' progress (the camera above all). The material was backed by excellent support – in quality and in quantity. The role plays were at a very high level and were later analysed with the help of video recordings – the use of very advanced and modern approaches to presenting the material, which changed constantly. I attended French courses with Prof. Nenah Iza Zeilhofer (active courses together with six colleagues) for a good year and a half (around 550 hours in total) and I am grateful to her for the French I acquired, and equally for the pleasant and interesting hours we spent together.

The syllabus of Prof. Nenah Iza Zeilhofer is distinguished by its systematic structure and by the clarity of the goals of each module and of the sequence of skills that help you reach those goals. In her lessons Prof. Zeilhofer uses a range of teaching methods with which she successfully encourages the motivation to learn and eases the otherwise dry business of memorising, which is an unavoidable part of learning any language. In Slovenian language schools I have not yet come across such a systematic programme and such a variety of teaching methods, so to everyone who wants to learn French I warmly recommend working with Prof. Nenah Iza Zeilhofer and her language school AVEC plus.

Ever since I was little I wanted to learn to speak French and you have made that wish even stronger. I know I am still missing a lot of knowledge, but because of you I feel much more confident when I speak French. Since I started learning with you, learning French is fun, not the least bit hard work, and I gain an enormous amount of knowledge, not only about French but also about other important things in life. I think you have mastered not only French but also relationships with people, and I know you put an enormous amount of effort and time into your work, which shows. In spite of that, if you are on holiday, injured or ill, you give 100 % for your students. Thank you for that.
Nenah Iza is my French teacher and I have been learning with her since I was 4. Nenah Iza is an exceptional teacher, not only because of her ability and her teaching of French, but also because of her compassion and kindness.

Nenah Iza is an exceptional teacher, not only because of her ability and her teaching of French, but also because of her compassion and kindness. She gives her utmost for every one of her students and advises us on solving our problems. I have learned an enormous amount with her and I am completely certain that every one of her students would say the same, because for each of us she adapts the lessons and attends to our learning difficulties, dyslexia for example. Her lessons are really fun and creative, because she prepares really well for every single one. In my lessons we often learned in an entertaining way, we cooked together and that is how I learned the names of kitchen utensils and food; we built up vocabulary and grammatical structures with cards and role play: a shop, a restaurant … We also often watch some video clips so that I can remember and picture her explanation more easily. It was never a problem for her to explain something one more time. She does a great deal for her students and after every one of her lessons you feel like a champion of French. We all know that French is one of the hardest languages in the world, but with a teacher like Nenah Iza learning is easier and more fun, even though it is hard. In time she became not only my teacher but also my friend and my role model for life, school and work, because she does all of it with joy! It is true, I cannot praise her enough and I really do recommend her.

Her explanation is excellent, clear and simple, even though French is at times not simple - Nenah Iza knows how to make it clear and interesting at any moment. Our French lessons are always effective, full of new knowledge, and alongside her teaching Nenah Iza always instils in me a great deal of curiosity and always gives me the motivation to learn French and other languages again and again. Nenah Iza is very widely read and in our French lessons she always encourages connecting knowledge of foreign languages. In our 3-month collaboration we have already created an enormous amount of knowledge together, and I think that after only three months of learning my knowledge can be compared to language level B1. In conversation with a native speaker I am relaxed and feel no fear at all about communicating. I am truly grateful to her for all the knowledge I have received from her.
